May Cruising Report - 2008 As I write this report we have 12-13 boats headed to Boca Grande Pass; where we have plans on staying at 3 wonderful resorts, Boca Grand Marina, Useppa Island Resort and South Seas Resort. Also, we will stop in on Cabbage Key for one of their famous Cheeseburgers. At our last meeting, Miles & Ginny Curry were at “the helm”; they led the meeting, in their usual casual, professional and fun way. Miles brought back his famous “Boating Jeopardy” game, and as usual the competitive juices were flowing. Nothing like getting together with fellow cruisers. The last big event was the, “Blessing of the Fleet”, and it was a marvelous and special time for all the participating cruisers. The next cruise, after the “Grand Week at Boca Grande”, is on May 16th to 18th, 2008 at Twin Dolphin Marina. They are saving 12 to 20 boat slips, so I’m sure we can accommodate all that want to go. But, sign up, so I will know that you are going. Call the club at 447-6000 and sign-up. In June we have plans to visit the St. Pete Yacht Club on 6/20 to 6/22/08. You can also sign up for this trip, when you call in for the Twin Dolphin Cruise. Well, the cruiser are on the water, as they should be, having fun, and enjoying being with other CYC members.
